New Delhi- The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) and the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) are to organize the second International Buddhist Media Conclave in Delhi. This event will be held on September 11, 2024, at the VIF, New Delhi, with the theme "Mindful Communication for Conflict Avoidance and Sustainable Development".

Former Indian football player Baichung Bhutia will be the Guest of Honor at the event. Gurumurthy, Chairman of VIF, will deliver the keynote address on the occasion. Representatives of media from 18 countries are expected to participate in the event.

The primary goal of the second International Buddhist Media Conclave will be to find ways to integrate Buddhist teachings into modern media practices in order to address global crises and enhance trust in media institutions. The conclave aims to promote ethical journalism, mindful communication, and establish a network of Buddhist media professionals across Asia. The first conclave brought together around 150 delegates, including Buddhist journalists and media personalities from 12 different countries, and laid a strong foundation for integrating Buddhist principles into media practices.
