Patna - Prashant Kishor, chief of the Jan Suraj Party, continued his hunger strike in Patna on Sunday, calling upon prominent political leaders to join the ongoing student movement in Bihar. Kishor, who is on his fourth day of the hunger strike, urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav to take the helm of the movement, emphasizing his willingness to support from behind the scenes.

"This movement is not about any one individual; it is a fight against the flawed system in Bihar,” Kishor stated, addressing the media. He expressed his desire for a collective effort, stating his readiness to step back if the youth leaders decided to lead.

Kishor highlighted the formation of a 51-member Yuva Satyagraha Committee, comprising various student groups across Bihar. This committee aims to amplify student voices and advocate for their demands, which range from educational reforms to employment opportunities and improved governance.

The Jan Suraj Party chief emphasized the movement's evolution, stating that it has grown beyond addressing issues with the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) to encompass a broader systemic overhaul. He appealed to the people of Bihar to actively support the student-led movement, urging them to participate in the Satyagraha. Kishor stressed that inaction will not improve Bihar and urged the public to stand with the young individuals leading the movement.

Kishor expressed confidence in the youth's dedication, stating, "Our struggle will continue as a youth-led Jan Shakti. No matter how powerful the government is, there is no greater power than the power of the people.” He concluded by inviting the public to join the movement, emphasizing the importance of Satyagraha in building a better future for Bihar.
