New Delhi- The Employment-Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, which was announced in the Union Budget 2024-25, aims to create over 2 crore jobs within two years. The scheme is part of the Prime Minister's package of five schemes and initiatives under the Employment-Linked Incentive initiative.

The ELI Scheme will provide incentives to both employers and employees. The government is committed to creating an inclusive and sustainable employment ecosystem by facilitating job creation opportunities for all. The ELI Scheme is expected to benefit 4.1 crore young people in the country and provide them with employment opportunities.

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, who has directed the implementation of the ELI Scheme, has emphasized the need to ensure its swift implementation. The minister has urged officials to launch an extensive outreach and awareness campaign to educate the public about the benefits of the ELI Scheme.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment is currently finalizing the details of the ELI Scheme, including its implementation plan. It is anticipated that the scheme will be rolled out effectively and efficiently in order to achieve its goals.
