Hunger Strike Update: Prashant Kishor's Health Stable

Patna, Bihar: Prashant Kishor, the architect of the Jan Suraj Abhiyan, remains in stable health after over 48 hours of hunger strike in solidarity with students protesting alleged irregularities in the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Preliminary examination.

A team of doctors, led by Patna-based physician Avinash Kumar, examined Kishor and assured the public that his health is stable. While Kishor is experiencing mild dehydration and bronchitis, his overall health is not a cause for concern at this moment.

Dr. Kumar advised Kishor to consume two to three liters of water daily and gargle regularly for his sore throat. The team also recommended additional precautions to prevent further health complications due to the cold weather.

Kishor's hunger strike is part of his larger effort to demand solutions for the alleged irregularities in the 70th BPSC Preliminary Examination, as he sees it. BPSC candidates' agitation over alleged paper leaks and irregularities in the 70th BPSC Preliminary Examination has entered its 18th day without a resolution. Prashant Kishor, the Jan Suraj Party Chief, joining the prolonged protest has garnered attention, especially after the show of solidarity.

The students are demanding the cancellation of the 70th BPSC Preliminary Examination, claiming that the irregularities were not limited to a single location but occurred across multiple centers.

Despite the ongoing protests, BPSC conducted the re-examination for the 70th BPSC Preliminary Examination at 22 locations on Saturday, which concluded peacefully.
