New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his monthly radio address 'Mann Ki Baat', called upon the nation to participate in the upcoming 150th birth anniversaries of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Birsa Munda. The Prime Minister announced that the government will be celebrating the anniversaries at a national level. He urged every citizen to join in the celebrations as a part of a larger campaign to honor their legacies.

PM Modi highlighted the shared vision of unity between Sardar Patel, India's first Home Minister, and freedom fighter Birsa Munda, despite the different challenges they faced during their lifetimes. "India has faced many challenges throughout history," he said. "Today, I would like to speak about two heroes who displayed remarkable courage and vision. Both Sardar Patel and Birsa Munda stood for the unity of our country."

The Prime Minister recounted his memorable visit to Birsa Munda's birthplace, Ulihatu village in Jharkhand. "On November 15 last year, I visited Ulihatu, the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. It was a special moment to honor such a significant figure in our history," he shared.

Celebrations begin with Sardar Patel's birth anniversary on October 31st, followed by Birsa Munda's on November 15th. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai joined the Prime Minister's call by listening to Mann Ki Baat in their regions to support the message.
