CJP organizes volunteer meet-up in Lucknow; demands resignation and criminal action against CEC Gyanesh Kumar

Lucknow- A Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) volunteer meet-up was organized in Lucknow to coordinate the party's nationwide campaign on public interest issues, focusing on accountability within the Election Commission of India (ECI), the integrity of the electoral process, and the structural overhaul of government schools under the party's "School Thik Karo" campaign. The meeting was attended by National Legal Affairs lead Ratna Singh, North Zone Coordinator Muhammad Farhan Khan, Ujjwal Pandey, Azad Mohit, and other volunteers.

Speaking at the meeting, CJP Legal Affairs Head Ratna Singh declared that the party's immediate, non-negotiable demand is the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, to be followed by strict criminal action against him. She emphasized that mounting structural concerns surrounding the ECI and the electoral process require immediate, widespread public awareness and strict institutional accountability.

To press these demands nationally, CJP formally announced that it will hold a massive public protest demonstration in Mumbai on October 2.

The immediate mandate of the demonstration will be to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, and, thereafter, to force criminal prosecution against him. Ratna Singh also emphasized the critical expansion of CJP’s ongoing "School Thik Karo" campaign across Uttar Pradesh, highlighting the dilapidated condition of government schools and the urgent need for meaningful improvements in the public education system. She urged regional cadres and volunteers to maintain regular, active dialogue with schools, parents, students, and local communities to continue documenting issues affecting public education.

North Zone Coordinator Muhammad Farhan Khan spoke about the party's core mission to work toward a secular India and a stronger education system. Senior leader Ujjwal Pandey highlighted the importance of strengthening the public sector, education, and healthcare, while Azad Mohit supported the call for greater public engagement and grassroots mobilization on issues concerning the ECI and the electoral process.

CJP stated that the organization will continue its work across the country on issues concerning education, healthcare, public interest, electoral awareness, accountability, and democratic rights.
