Jaipur- Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasra has taken to social media to lambast the BJP government for what he describes as a complete failure on multiple fronts.
In a scathing post on X (formerly Twitter), Dotasra highlighted the deteriorating condition of health services and the widespread mismanagement in the state, exacerbated by the intense heatwave currently gripping Rajasthan.
In his social media post, Dotasra did not mince words about the BJP government's performance, stating that it has lost its credibility in the state. "What a state Rajasthan has become in 5 months!" he exclaimed, emphasizing the rapid decline in governance and public services since the BJP took office. He argued that the government's failures are evident across various sectors, from healthcare to essential utilities like water and electricity.
Dotasra's critique comes amid growing concerns about the state of healthcare in Rajasthan. He pointed out that in many places, there are no doctors available, forcing people to wander in search of medical attention, medicines, and necessary tests. This dire situation is particularly alarming as the state battles soaring temperatures, with the mercury exceeding 44 degrees Celsius in several cities.
The lack of functioning coolers and fans in hospital wards has further compounded the suffering of patients, who are left to endure the sweltering heat without relief.
According to Dotasra, the government's negligence has resulted in no one addressing the grievances of the people, leaving them to fend for themselves in increasingly unbearable conditions.
The state of Rajasthan is currently grappling with an intense heatwave, with temperatures exceeding 44 degrees Celsius in many cities. In Phalodi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 50 degrees on May 25.
This extreme weather is severely affecting the daily lives of the state's citizens. The heatwave has intensified the already dire situation, where irregular power supply and water scarcity have become daily struggles for the populace.
Dotasra highlighted the plight of people in rural areas who are particularly hard-hit. Residents are often forced to walk long distances to fetch drinking water or spend significant amounts of money on water tankers.
This situation, he asserts, is a direct result of the government's neglect and mismanagement. The shortage of water has become so acute that it is causing severe distress among the farming community, which relies heavily on consistent water supply for their crops and livestock.
Moreover, the power crisis has led to frequent, unannounced power cuts even in the capital, Jaipur. These power outages are making life unbearable for people during the scorching heatwave.
Dotasra pointed out that there is a daily shortfall of 600 lakh units of electricity, which the government has failed to address, leaving consumers to endure hours without electricity.
The opposition leader stressed that the government's failure to implement an effective action plan for power supply is evident. The absence of a coherent strategy to manage the water and power crisis has left the administrative officers to manage the situation.
Dotasra condemned the government's misplaced priorities and called for immediate action to alleviate the suffering of the state's residents. He urged the government to focus on resolving the water and power shortages rather than diverting attention to election campaigning.
