New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Karmayogi Saptah' - National Learning Week at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi today. The National Learning Week aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of government employees, aligning with the broader goals of Mission Karmayogi, which was launched in September 2020.

During his address, PM Modi emphasized the significance of Mission Karmayogi in building a skilled civil service that can be a driving force behind India's development. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made under the mission and stated that continued dedication would ensure India's progress. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the National Learning Week in providing new learning experiences and improving work systems to achieve the goal of a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.

PM Modi also discussed the government's efforts over the past decade to change its mindset, resulting in positive impacts felt by citizens today. He attributed this success to the collective efforts of government employees and initiatives like Mission Karmayogi.

Addressing the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), PM Modi emphasized its dual nature as both a challenge and an opportunity for India. He stressed the need to balance the development of Artificial Intelligence with the needs of Aspirational India, suggesting that this could lead to transformative changes.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the impact of the digital revolution and social media in promoting information equality and empowering citizens. He urged civil servants to embrace technological advancements to meet rising standards, citing the iGOT platform as a valuable resource. iGOT, a learning platform for government employees, has registered over 40 lakh users, offers over 1400 courses, and has awarded more than 1.5 crore certificates of completion.

PM Modi concluded by urging civil service training institutions to overcome their siloed approach and foster collaboration, communication, and the adoption of global best practices. He emphasized the importance of a citizen-centric approach and encouraged departments to seek innovative ideas from startups, research agencies, and young professionals.
