Modi Government will Eradicate Naxalism by March 2026, Says Shah
Bastar- Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, visited Bastar on Friday . During this visit, he met with 55 people affected by Naxali violence and interacted with the Bastar Peace Committee.
The Bastar Peace Committee also screened a documentary film highlighting the plight of victims of Naxali violence in Chhattisgarh. The victims shared their struggles with the Home Minister.
Amit Shah assured the victims that the central government is committed to completely eliminating Naxalism by March 2026. He said that due to the policies of the Modi government, Left Wing Extremism has now been restricted to a few districts in Chhattisgarh. He said that Naxalism is a threat to both, humanity and the internal security of the country.
He further said that the government of India and the government of Chhattisgarh will bring a comprehensive scheme for the overall development of people affected by LWE in the next three months. Under this plan, people affected by Left Wing Extremism across the country, including Chhattisgarh, will be able to benefit from healthcare facilities, employment opportunities, and other welfare schemes.
" Naxalism has only one ideology – destruction and violence. It has been the strategy of the Naxalites to garner sympathy for themselves under the guise of human rights. The wounds of these victims of violence in Naxal-affected areas are a living symbol of the inhumanity and cruelty of Naxalism." Shah stated.
Union Home Minister appealed to the Left Wing Extremists to stop violence and join the mainstream of society. He expressed confidence that Bastar will once again become a beautiful, peaceful and developed region due to the complete elimination of Left Wing Extremism.
