DLC Campaign 3.0 for Digital Empowerment of Pensioners in November

New Delhi- The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare, in collaboration with the Department of Posts and India Post Payment Bank (IPPB), has announced the launch of the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 3.0 from November 1 to 30, 2024. The campaign will focus on providing enhanced digital services for pensioners across India and will be held at all District Post Offices, extending to District Headquarters and major cities nationwide.

This initiative builds on the success of previous campaigns in 2022 and 2023, during which 1.45 crore pensioners submitted their Digital Life Certificates. The 2024 campaign will take place in 157 cities, with the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare working alongside Pension Disbursing Banks, Pensioner Welfare Associations, UIDAI, and Jeevan Praman to facilitate seamless submissions of DLCs.

Pensioners can submit their Jeevan Praman through face authentication using an Android smartphone at District Post Offices.

• Doorstep services will be provided for aged or infirm pensioners to submit their DLCs.

• The campaign will be widely publicized through banners, social media, SMS, and short videos to ensure maximum awareness and participation.

• UIDAI and MeitY will offer technical support during the campaign to ensure its smooth execution.

During a preparatory meeting held on September 12, senior officials from the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare, Department of Posts, and IPPB agreed to work together to make the campaign a success. This collaboration is aimed at broadening the government's digital empowerment initiatives for pensioners, significantly enhancing their ease of living through accessible, efficient, and inclusive services.
