Hyderabad- Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao led a 'Maha Dharna' in Manukota, Mahabubabad district, today in support of farmers from Lagacharla village. The farmers are protesting against the alleged forced acquisition of their lands for a proposed Pharma Village in Kodangal, the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's native constituency.

Rao alleged that the Congress government was forcibly acquiring land belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes for the project. He claimed that the people of Lagacharla and surrounding villages have been protesting against the land acquisition for the past nine months. He further alleged that the Pharma Village was being developed for the Chief Minister's son-in-law.

The BRS working president criticized the Chief Minister for his alleged lack of attention to the issue, stating that Reddy had visited Delhi 28 times but had no time to address the problems of his constituents. He went on to say that if Reddy had visited Lagacharla, the farmers would have protested against him directly.

Rama Rao drew parallels to the year-long farmers' protests in Delhi against the three controversial farm laws, highlighting the power of farmers' unity. He warned that the situation in Lagacharla could be replicated anywhere in the state and called for a united struggle against the exploitation of SCs, STs, and Backward Classes. He declared that the BRS would stage protests in all 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana to support these communities.

BRS leader K. T. Rama Rao criticized the Revanth Reddy government for failing to implement any of the 420 promises made during the election campaign, including the six guarantees. In contrast, farmers received timely financial assistance through Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, and 24-hour power during the previous KCR government. He also stated that the Revanth Reddy government will be completing a year in another 10 days and that they have failed to implement even one of the 420 promises made during the election campaign.
