More than 15 tigers move in the surrounding area, but at present they are in their own area in the forest. They are also monitored with surveillance cameras.

According to Forest Department and Van Vihar National Park officials, there are 13 tigers in the Van Vihar park. Including these, there are more than 40 tigers around Bhopal. On the one hand, as regards the tigers, there is Van Vihar National Park in the middle of Bhopal. On the other hand, there is the tiger movement and habitat in the nearby forests.

Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, is considered to be the first city in the country, where more than 40 tigers roam around. ​​Bhopal district covers an area of 2,772square km, and its population density 855 persons per square km. There are 118 tigers in Kanha National Park, 115 in Bandhavgarh, 70 in Panna, 60 in Pench, 50 in Satpura and more than 25 in Sanjay Dubri. There is also a habitat of tigers in Ratapani Tiger Reserve, Bhopal and they are also found in large numbers here.
