Udaipur- Life skills training will be introduced for students residing in tribal hostels and residential schools to equip them to face life’s challenges. For this purpose, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Tribal Area Development Department (TAD) and the Magic Bus India Foundation.

This agreement, initiated by Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, will offer an activity-based life skills education program, guided by teachers and wardens, tailored to the unique needs of tribal communities in the state.

The program will be implemented across 53 residential schools and 440 hostels in 25 districts, ensuring that life skills training reaches the most marginalized communities. Through this initiative, nearly 42,000 tribal students will receive life skills training.

Program to Last for Three Years

TAD Commissioner Pragya Kelvarmani stated the program will span three years. In the first year, the TAD will select and train master trainers, develop the curriculum, and initiate life skills sessions in hostels and residential schools.

In the second year, the results of the life skills training will be monitored using a Holistic Progress Card (HPC). Monitoring will be enhanced, and a WhatsApp-based AI chatbot, Magic Mitra, will be launched for real-time tracking.

In the third year, systems will be strengthened to ensure the continuous implementation and sustainability of the life skills program, as well as monitoring. Under the program, teachers, wardens, and assistant wardens from 493 TAD hostels and residential schools will be trained in life skills. They will then be prepared to impart life skills education to students from grades 6 to 12.

Magic Bus India Foundation's Global CEO, Jayant Rastogi, stated that this partnership with the Rajasthan government's TAD department will address the issues faced by students in tribal communities, who live in challenging areas with limited resources. By providing them with life skills education, they will be empowered to overcome obstacles and achieve success. This partnership will foster their development and lay a strong foundation for the future of tribal communities. This MoU will establish a transformative platform for inclusive education for tribal students in Rajasthan, steering their future towards positive progress.
