New Delhi- Students from Kamla Nagar, Gurmandi, Patel Chest to Vijaynagar joined AISA's nationwide campaign against a decade of institutional corruption, paper leaks and corporate loot.
Despite attempts by the Delhi Police to obstruct the students, the streets resonated with the demand for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.
Thursday marked the first day of AISA's week-long area campaign across Delhi. The campaign was carried out successfully in Kamla Nagar, Patel Chest, Gurmandi, Vijayanagar and around Delhi University's North Campus area. The campaign gained immense traction and support from the people, who engaged very enthusiastically echoing the demands of ending the cycle of unaccountability and holding the MoE responsible for the failing education system.
AISA Delhi University Secretary Anjali asserted, "the time to look away is over. We appeal to every student of Delhi University to join hand in hand with the millions affected by the massive discrepancies in NEET-UG, CUET, and the CBSE portal scams. If we do not fight together today, tomorrow it will be our names on the list of the eliminated. This predatory system has shattered the lives of over half a crore youth across the country, subjecting us to a staggering 86 structural paper leaks over the last 10 years. The burden is historically ours to ask for unconditional accountability, not just to rescue our own futures, but to safeguard the basic right to education for the coming generations."
The Delhi Police attempted to disrupt the campaign at the very beginning, by obstructing and threatening AISA activists. Despite that, the campaign continued further with full rigour.
