MP— The number of colleges distributing fake degrees is constantly increasing. This case relates to the Agriculture course running without any permission. Along with private colleges, the government colleges run by the state government are also conducting illegal courses related to Agriculture. In such a scenario clouds of uncertainty are looming over the future of the students studying agriculture in College. The Mooknayak has investigated the issue. Here is our special report.
On earlier occasions, the case of fake nursing homes had emerged. But now the fake agriculture and university cases have come to the surface. The colleges are being run by keeping the future of the students at stake. Along with the colleges, there are some universities also, which may be abiding by the rules of the Higher Education Department but are riding roughshod over the rules of the Agriculture Research Council. The courses like BSC and MSC are being conducted at the University.
Lab and Teachers Missing
When The Mooknayak spoke to the students of Barkattulah University, they told on the condition of anonymity that there are no teachers and labs. The first batch of BU (Barkattulah University) started three months ago in August. 12 students took admission. Out of these 10 students are from Chattisgarh and two are from Madhya Pradesh. According to the students, the University has started the course but there are no facilities. One student informed me that the Bioscience Department has been made the nodal department. Their faculty (Bioscience Department) is teaching the students. There is no expert faculty per the Indian Council of Agriculture Research rules. The University was in such haste that it defied the decision of the Executive Council.
The Future of the Students Under Threat
In Madhya Pradesh, the case of fake Universities and Colleges has come to light. The way fake Nursing homes are being run by playing fast and loose with the standards, the private Agriculture colleges are also being run by blowing the rules and regulations to smithereens.
The Courses are conducted by 41 Colleges and 6 Universities
RTI activist of Jabalpur, Shubham Patel told The Mooknayak that according to the information gathered by the Right To Information Act, Madhya Pradesh has 41 colleges and 6 Universities, which are fake. The students are being provided fake degrees of Course in Agriculture. According to the rules of the Madhya Pradesh Gazette, there is no agency in Madhya Pradesh, which grants permission for opening an Agriculture College or Agriculture University.
This is to be noted that in Madhya Pradesh the future of students is being kept at stake in the name of Agricultural Education. The consequences are being borne by the students who work hard to get admission to Agriculture Universities. Apart from this, the colleges and universities running illegal Agriculture courses don't have any kind of Entrance Exams.
