Bhopal- In the Barodia Naonagir Dalit murder case from Sagar district, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has levied serious allegations against the Additional SP of Sagar. During a press conference held in the state capital, Bhopal, party officials accused the police administration and BJP leaders, including former Minister Bhupendra Singh, of involvement in the case.

SP State President Dr. Manoj Yadav, former MLA Dr. Sunil, former Uttar Pradesh Labor Minister Badshah Singh, and M.L. Bharti, National President of the Samajwadi Baba Saheb Ambedkar Vahini, called for a CBI investigation into the murder case.

The SP leaders asserted, "The sole surviving son of the Dalit family was threatened by the Additional SP of Sagar, who said that even he would not be spared."

Dr. Yadav condemned the atrocities in Barodia Naonagir village as heinous crimes, claiming that such events are unprecedented in the country. He highlighted the sequence of events where a girl from the Dalit family, who had filed a case of molestation in 2019, was coerced into a settlement, leading to the murder of three individuals from her family.

Dr. Yadav emphasized the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Anjana Ahirwar, a key witness, who had also left a video behind. Despite assurances from the Chief Minister, no progress has been made in the case.

Dr. Yadav insisted that a CBI investigation was essential as the Additional SP, Sanjeev Kumar, allegedly pressured the family into a settlement, threatening further violence. He demanded a compensation of one crore rupees and housing for the affected family as per legal provisions for Dalits.

The SP also demanded that BJP leader Bhupendra Singh be included as an accused. Dr. Yadav criticized the involvement of high-ranking BJP leaders, alleging that they are shielding the accused and protecting their families.

Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh had previously requested a CBI investigation, addressing a letter to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The fact-finding report by a citizens' group has raised questions about the actions of the police and administration.

Digvijay Singh's letter to the Chief Minister urged for a CBI investigation based on the report that details incidents affecting Dalit youth and their families.
