SAIL Achieves Record Sales Turnover of Rs 1,04,545 Crore

Company registers growth in hot metal, crude steel, and saleable steel production

New Delhi- The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) conducted its 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 26, 2024, at the company's headquarters in Lodi Road, New Delhi. The meeting was held through a virtual platform.

During the meeting, Chairman of SAIL Amarendu Prakash said, "Reflecting on the performance of the previous year and looking forward in the future reinforces my belief that as an organization, we can aspire to be 'Number One', i.e the best in our industry". He added that the government's continuous endeavor to alter the social, digital, and physical infrastructure of the nation by 2047 has fueled steel demand in the country's various sectors.

He outlined the performance of SAIL during the FY 2023-24 and said that the company produced 20.5 million tonnes (MT), 19.24 MT, and 18.44 MT of hot metal, crude steel, and saleable steel, respectively, recording a growth rate of 5.6%, 5.2%, and 6.9% during the previous year. He mentioned that SAIL achieved the best sales turnover of Rs 1,04,545 crore during FY'24.

SAIL Chairman Amarendu Prakash emphasised that SAIL is committed to maximising capacity utilisation and providing the best value to customers. He urged the shareholders to continue engaging with stakeholders and proactively stay ahead of the curve.
