Electorate Strengthens in Jammu and Kashmir

Over 93,000 new voters registered in the union territory

Jammu & Kashmir- According to a report, over 93,000 new voters have been registered in Jammu and Kashmir. This has resulted in an increase in the number of polling stations across the union territory by 209.

A special summary of photo electoral rolls with a qualifying date of July 1, 2024, was completed by all 20 districts of J&K.

According to the summary revision 2024, the total number of electors now stands at 88.03 lakh, including 44.89 lakh males, 43.13 lakh females, and 168 third-gender electors.

The Chief Electoral Officer of J&K, PK Pole, said that a total of 93,284 voters have been added in the special summary revision across the state. He appealed to all the eligible voters in J&K to exercise their franchise on the polling days of their respective constituencies and strengthen democracy in the union territory.
