Ranchi- Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) manifesto for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections in Ranchi on Sunday. The manifesto, called "Sankalp Patra," was unveiled in the presence of key BJP figures, including Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Sanjay Seth, and BJP Jharkhand president Babulal Marandi.

The event saw BJP Jharkhand president Babulal Marandi emphasizing the party's track record of development in the state. "Whenever BJP has formed the government in Jharkhand, development work has been done," Marandi stated, contrasting this with the alleged inaction of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) during their tenure. Marandi accused the JMM of doing nothing for the state and only developing their family.

BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo highlighted the manifesto's comprehensive focus, stating that it addresses the needs of various groups in Jharkhand, including farmers, women, youth, and infrastructure and development.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma had previously revealed that the "Sankalp Patra" will feature 150 resolutions.

Jharkhand will hold elections for its 81-seat Assembly in two phases on November 13 and November 20. The counting of votes is scheduled for November 23. The previous assembly election saw the JMM secure 30 seats, followed by the BJP with 25 seats and the Congress with 16 seats.
