Ranchi- Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated in Ranchi on Sunday that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented across the entire country, but tribals will be exempt from its provisions.

Amit Shah accused the Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand of delaying central government schemes and halting welfare programs initiated by the previous BJP government in the state.

While releasing the BJP’s manifesto for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, Shah said, “This election in Jharkhand is not just about changing the government, but about securing Jharkhand’s future. The people of Jharkhand must decide whether they want a government steeped in corruption or a BJP government under Prime Minister Modi that is on the path of development. Do they want a government that endangers Jharkhand’s identity through infiltration, or a BJP government that ensures border security so tight that not even a bird can trespass?”

He further claimed that the Soren government is protecting infiltrators. “If infiltration is not curbed, Jharkhand’s culture, employment opportunities, and identity will face severe threats. The central government will identify and deport every single Bangladeshi infiltrator in the state. Hemant Soren views infiltrators as his vote bank. Due to infiltration, the tribal population is declining, demographics are shifting, and the Soren government remains oblivious. I assure you that if a BJP government comes to power, infiltrators will be removed from Jharkhand.”

Amit Shah added, “When the BJP took charge in Assam, infiltration stopped. We will safeguard our bread, daughters, and soil.” He emphasized that Jharkhand was created as a separate state by Atal Bihari Vajpayee and nurtured under the leadership of Narendra Modi. However, when Hemant Soren’s government came to power five years ago, it halted all development projects initiated under the ‘double-engine’ government.

In response to Chief Minister Hemant Soren's demand for payment of pending dues of ₹1.36 lakh crore from the center, Shah said Soren’s statements are immature. “The central government provided ₹4.5 lakh crore to Jharkhand, yet the state government failed to utilize these funds.” He accused the Soren government of jeopardizing the future of the youth, adding, “You promised jobs to the youth, but where are they? Your government has seen the highest number of paper leaks. If paper leaks occur under our government, we’ll deal with these mafias harshly.”

Amit Shah criticized the Congress for being anti-OBC, stating that Congress governments never granted this community its rightful place. In contrast, the BJP provided constitutional status to the OBC Commission and ensured 27% reservation.

BJP Manifesto- Shah released Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Sankalp Patra (manifesto) for the Jharkhand elections and highlighted 150 key resolutions, as a tribute to Lord Birsa Munda on latter's 150th birth anniversary. Among the commitments are the 'Gogo Didi Scheme', offering Rs 2100 monthly support for women, 300 units of free electricity, gas cylinders at a cost of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 monthly allowance for unemployed graduates and postgraduates under the 'Yuva Sathi Yojana.' At the manifesto launch, Shah stressed BJP's track record in fulfilling commitments and said, "Unlike other parties, we take resolutions and turn them into reality. We have come with a commitment to protect Jharkhand's 'Roti, Maati, Beti' (livelihood, land, daughters), and under PM Modi's leadership, we're confident Jharkhand will embrace this journey of progress."
