BJP's Dilip Kumar Jaiswal Criticizes Lalu Prasad Yadav's Family for Dynastic Politics, Targets Tejashwi's Women Scheme

Jaiswal accuses RJD leader of prioritizing family over social justice

Patna- BJP's Bihar state president and Revenue Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal launched a sharp critique of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's family, accusing them of perpetuating dynastic politics. Speaking at a workers' conference in Khagaria, Jaiswal drew parallels between the RJD and the Kauravas, suggesting that Bihar has progressed beyond the "lantern era" - a reference to RJD's electoral symbol - and now embraces the NDA's development agenda.

The BJP leader particularly targeted RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's "Mai-Bahin Maan Yojana," which promises Rs 2,500 monthly to women. Jaiswal dismissed this as following in the footsteps of Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal's approach to free incentives, suggesting it would meet a similar fate. He asserted that Bihar's women, under Nitish Kumar's leadership, have become so empowered they might instead offer financial support to Yadav.

Separately, when questioned about potential electoral consequences of supporting the Waqf Amendment Bill, JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha defended Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's record with minority communities. He dismissed concerns raised by Islamic scholars, characterizing their warnings as an attempt to commodify Muslim votes, while emphasizing Kumar's unprecedented work for minority welfare in independent India.
