New Delhi- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Assembly election candidate Arvind Kejriwal was confronted by angry residents during an election rally in New Delhi's MP Flats area on Monday. The incident, which occurred around 1 PM, has led to accusations of the AAP using "goons" to intimidate voters.

Residents allege that AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak, who was present with Kejriwal, manhandled individuals attempting to speak to the AAP leader. Poonam Singh, a staff member at the MP residence, claims Pathak prevented her from addressing Kejriwal about her concerns, suggesting she meet him at home instead. Singh alleges this was an attempt to silence her, as she had been waiting to discuss a ₹9,000 electricity bill she received despite AAP's promise of free electricity.

Singh further alleged that a group of individuals associated with the AAP rally distributed pamphlets and then instigated a confrontation with over 100 people. She questioned how Kejriwal was allowed to gather more than 100 people in the area and why he had not addressed the residents' concerns, including their lack of access to Mohalla Clinics and the lack of employment opportunities.

The incident has brought to light simmering discontent among residents of the MP Flats area, who claim they have been neglected by the AAP government. AAP leaders were accused of using "force and intimidation" during an election campaign in Delhi.
