Textiles Minister Launches $350 Billion Initiatives

New Delhi- The Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, is all set to launch a worth of $350 billion worth of new initiatives in the textiles sector. To promote this growth, the Ministry of Textiles has organized a series of events and initiatives to celebrate the achievements of the first 100 days of the government.

This 100-day period has witnessed tremendous progress in the textiles sector as outlined in the achievements of the Ministry. The launch of new initiatives will strengthen the sector and further enhance the country's position in the global textile industry.

One of the key initiatives in the new series is the setting of a target of 50,000 metric tonnes of production in the long run. This target is expected to provide employment opportunities to over 1 crore people in the textiles sector. The Ministry is also planning to promote the Eri Sericulture Promotional Project in Gujarat which will help in increasing the production of castor and other valuable chemicals for the sustainable development of the state.

The central government is committed to promoting the growth of the textiles sector in a sustainable manner. The new initiatives and policies will provide a boost to the industry and enable it to achieve its target of $350 billion by 2030.
