Priyanka Gandhi to Wayanad People- "I Will Come So Many Times, You Will Get Fed Up of Me"

Congress leader vows to fight for education, healthcare, and farmers' rights

Mananthavady- Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on her second day of a thanksgiving visit to Wayanad, assured the people of her commitment to their well-being and pledged to be a visible and active representative. Addressing a public meeting in Mananthavady on Sunday, Gandhi emphasized her dedication to fighting for a better future for Wayanad and its people.

Gandhi highlighted key issues like education, healthcare, tourism, and farmers' rights as her top priorities. She pledged to expedite the completion of the Medical College, promote tourism, and ensure fair prices for farmers' produce.

Expressing gratitude for her overwhelming victory in the recent by-election, Gandhi stated, "I want you to know that each one of you...gave me your love and affection, I want each one of you to know that you are my responsibility." Priyanka Gandhi stressed her duty to fight for the people of Wayanad and give them a better future in the next five years and beyond.

Gandhi also promised to learn Malayalam, acknowledging the importance of connecting with the people on their own terms. "These two days, I am going around... to every Assembly segment thanking everybody for the love and the affection you have given me, but after this, my real work will begin and we will work together to resolve all the issues that you are facing and the first task is to start learning Malayalam," she declared.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra secured a resounding victory in the Wayanad by-election, surpassing her brother and former MP Rahul Gandhi's previous vote margins. She expressed gratitude to the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) for their hard work during the campaign.

Gandhi also assured the people of Wayanad that she would be a frequent visitor. "So, I am promising you that I will come so many times that you will get fed up of me. So, please get used to seeing me, and let us travel on this beautiful journey of making a better life, a stronger future together," she said.
