Indian Naval Chief Visits UAE for Defense Talks

Admiral Tripathi to meet UAE counterparts, witness naval exercise

New Delhi- Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) of India, is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from October 21-24, 2024. The visit aims to bolster defense cooperation between the two nations, focusing on strengthening bilateral maritime relations and exploring new avenues for collaboration between the Indian and UAE navies.

During his visit, Admiral Tripathi will engage in high-level discussions with Rear Admiral Pilot Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, and other senior UAE government officials. He will also visit the National Defence College of UAE to interact with student officers. A highlight of the visit will be witnessing the third edition of the India-UAE Bilateral Naval Exercise.

The two navies have a history of collaborative engagements, including port calls, bilateral exercises, reciprocal visits, navy-to-navy staff talks, and participation in the Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC). This visit underscores the deepening strategic partnership between India and the UAE across various sectors.
