Reducing Pendency, Promoting Swachhata in Focus

The Mooknayak English

New Delhi- The Department of Legal Affairs is set to launch the preparatory phase of Special Campaign 4.0, focusing on promoting cleanliness (Swachhata) and reducing all forms of pendency.

The preparatory phase will run from September 17 to October 1, 2024. During this time, the department will identify specific targets related to pending matters, including references from the Prime Minister's Office, state governments, Members of Parliament, and the Cabinet Secretariat.

To maximize outreach, the department has shared guidelines for the campaign with all attached offices and internal sections. Additionally, training and workshops are planned to familiarize staff with the Central Secretariat Manual of Office Procedure (CSMoP) and the Record Retention Schedule. As part of the campaign, outdated files will be weeded out, and updates on tasks assigned to the department, including on web portals like CPGRAMS, will be carried out.

This initiative reflects a concerted effort to streamline administrative processes and promote a cleaner, more efficient working environment.
