Meethalal Meghwal, a father with physical challenges, has defied societal norms by purchasing an acre of lunar land as a gift for his daughters, Mitali and Manasi. The inspiration for this unique gift came after the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3, sparking people's interest in lunar real estate. Meethalal and his daughters watched the Chandrayaan landing on television, during which the girls expressed their dream of one day going to the moon and living there.

In response to their dreams, Meethalal, who is a construction contractor by profession, encouraged his daughters to aim high and become scientists or astronauts if they wished to explore space or the moon. Witnessing their excitement, he decided to take a novel step by purchasing land on the moon, a concept he had heard about previously.

Speaking to The Mooknayak, Meethalal shared, "It is a gift for my two daughters. We were watching the Chandrayan-3 landing on TV, and my twin daughters Mitali and Manasi asked me whether we can go to the moon and settle there. I said, 'Why not? If you study hard, you can become scientists and astronauts and go to space or the moon.' Seeing their excitement, I thought of purchasing land on the moon, which I had heard about. I went to the related website and made an online purchase." Meethalal said," I made the payment through my credit card, the money was deducted in US dollars, I dont know how much it cost. But it is not about money, I am happy that i could fulfil my daughters' desire".

Meethalal enthusiastically shared that while the hard copy of the purchase would take approximately 45 days to arrive, the authorities had promptly sent him a receipt and a soft copy to confirm the acquisition. When questioned about the practicality of his purchase, given the considerable challenges of lunar expeditions, Meethalal responded with unwavering optimism.

He remarked, "Our generation has witnessed incredible advancements in space exploration, including people setting foot on the moon. Who's to say what the future holds? Perhaps, in the coming years, humanity will achieve the remarkable feat of establishing a sustainable presence on the moon." With a hopeful glint in his eye, Meethalal's words resonated with a spirit of adventure and the belief that dreams can become reality through determination and innovation.

Mother's Sacrifices and Triumphs in Raising Her Children

Meethalal opened up about the challenges he encountered during his upbringing, stating, "I lost my father when I was just 3 years old. My mother, Hagami Bai, bore the weight of numerous struggles and hardships to raise us. Those were tough times, and I had to take up labour jobs to make ends meet."

Despite the odds stacked against him, Meethalal's determination shone through. He continued his education, pursuing his dreams relentlessly. He recalled, "I managed to study only up to the 7th standard initially, but completed my 10th education through an open school program. It was not an easy journey, but it was a necessary one."

Adding to his challenges, Meethalal had been affected by polio during his childhood, which posed additional physical challenges. However, his unwavering spirit and belief in the power of education never wavered. He worked as labourer for many years and gradually started taking petty construction contracts after gaining experiences from his hard work.

He explained, "My experiences have taught me the value of education and the importance of dreams. I want my children to have every opportunity in life, to receive a full education, and to pursue any course or career they desire."

Moon Land Shopping: Celestial Purchase
