UP Police Begins Recruitment Drive for 60,000 Constables

Written exams to run till Aug. 31 across 1,174 centers in 67 districts

Lucknow- The Uttar Pradesh Police has commenced the recruitment process for 60,000 constables in the organization. Written examinations for the recruitment will continue till August 31, 2024. A total of 1,174 examination centers have been opened across 67 districts of Uttar Pradesh for the recruitment process.

UP Police is providing free travel facility to the candidates by showing their admit cards. The free travel facility will be available to all the candidates who are traveling by bus to the examination centers. For the convenience of the candidates, special trains have also been started by the railways for the examination.

It is worth noting that the examination will be held in two shifts. In the first shift, the examination will be held from August 23rd to 25th, and in the second shift, the examination will be held from August 30th to 31st.

According to the Director General of Police, Shri Prashant Kumar, all the necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth, fair, and transparent conduct of the examination. He said that no information about the paper leak has been reported and strict action will be taken against those who spread misleading news.
