During his official visit to Saudi Arabia, Union Minister Piyush Goyal met with Indian expatriates, government officials, and business leaders in Riyadh to advance the India-Saudi Arabia partnership, promoting trade, cultural exchange, and mutual investment. The visit coincided with Diwali and the conclusion of Pravasi Parichay, which connects Indian expatriates in Saudi Arabia with their cultural heritage.

During his visit, Goyal inaugurated the "One District One Product" (ODOP) Wall at the Indian Embassy. The initiative showcases district-specific products from India, such as Kolhapur's leather slippers and Ladakh's apples, on a global stage. Goyal emphasized how ODOP empowers artisans and boosts the Indian economy. He urged the Indian community in Saudi Arabia to support the initiative by gifting ODOP products and promoting Indian tourism.

Addressing the Indian diaspora, Goyal praised their contributions to India's economy through remittances and cultural influence. He highlighted India's receipt of $125 billion in remittances in the past year, with nearly 10% originating from the Indian community in Saudi Arabia.

Goyal also engaged with members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Riyadh, urging them to contribute to strengthening India-Saudi economic relations. He emphasized the importance of their professional conduct as "ambassadors" of India.

In his address, Goyal detailed India's economic progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, highlighting its transformation from a fragile state in 2014 to the world's fifth-largest economy today. He projected that India would become the world's third-largest economy by 2027 and reach $35 trillion by 2047.

Goyal also held discussions with Saudi leaders and business representatives to enhance bilateral relations. He emphasized the mutual benefits of a strong partnership, particularly in energy, infrastructure, and technology.
