New Delhi: The Embassy of Switzerland in India commemorated 75 years of Swiss-Indian friendship with a captivating Swiss Art Night titled "In the Air." Award-winning Swiss aerialist Jason Brügger and hula-hoop artist Eshna Kutty performed that evening.

The event celebrated the enduring friendship between the two nations, symbolized by the "Treaty of Friendship and Establishment" signed on August 14, 1948. The treaty, which came into effect on May 5, 1949, established a commitment to perpetual peace and friendship between Switzerland and India.

"In times of war, this year's Swiss Art Night 'In the Air' is about celebrating peace and friendship," said Swiss Ambassador-designate Maya Tissafi. She highlighted the strengthening bond between the two countries, citing the recent signing of the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement.

The performance showcased three unique shows, representing the elements of water, earth, air, and sparks of fire. Aerialist Jason Brügger expressed his enthusiasm for performing in India and participating in this year's Swiss Art Night.

Launched in 2014, the Swiss Art Night is an annual event that brings together the diplomatic community, businesspersons, and art enthusiasts in New Delhi.
