Raksha Mantri to Launch New DAD Initiatives on 277th Annual Day

Various publications and initiatives to be unveiled, including 'Defence Travel System 2.0' and 'Comprehensive Statistical Handbook on Defence Expenditure 2024'

New Delhi- The Defence Accounts Department (DAD) is all set to celebrate its 277th Annual Day on October 1, with a series of new publications and initiatives.

As per a news release issued by the department, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, will launch various publications and initiatives of DAD including ‘Defence Travel System 2.0’, ‘SPARSH Audit Manual’, ‘Comprehensive Statistical Handbook on Defence Expenditure 2024’ and ‘Market Intelligence Report 2023-24’. The department is also planning to release a short film on DAD.

On the occasion, the Raksha Mantri Excellence Awards 2024 will also be handed over to the employees of DAD who have shown exemplary performance in their various areas of work and implementing the key initiatives of the Department. Other dignitaries including Service Chiefs & Principal Staff Officers of the Armed Forces, Secretaries & other senior Government officials are also expected to be in attendance.

Founded in 1747, DAD has been providing financial support and accounting services to the Armed Forces and the Nation in the fields of Internal Audit, Accounting, Financial Advice and Defence Pensions Management.
