New Delhi- The second day of ITU Kaleidoscope 2024, held in New Delhi alongside the ITU-WTSA 2024, spotlighted cutting-edge AI technologies driving sustainable development. A special presentation by Mari Carmen Aguayo Torres highlighted the critical role of inclusive technology solutions, with a focus on public-private partnerships aimed at attracting more women to tech fields.

The session on "Attracting Girls to Technology Through Public-Private Partnerships," chaired by Eva Ibarrola from the University of the Basque Country, Spain, explored strategies for empowering women in the digital landscape. Rohit Sharma, Member (Services) at the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), and Sunil Kumar, President of IETE, led discussions on the social, economic, and policy dimensions of sustainable development.

AI’s transformative potential was showcased across healthcare, education, and agriculture, with sessions delving into AI-powered diagnostics and its role in improving access to rural education. Cybersecurity in IoT and ethical concerns surrounding AI in content creation were also key topics. The afternoon poster session fostered collaboration on AI applications in education and the use of space systems to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), further emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in advancing sustainable technologies.
