Following the Dashain festival, Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) has welcomed a record-breaking number of tourists in the past two weeks. Located in Nepal's Myagdi district, ABC saw over 3,000 domestic and international visitors during the festive season. This surge in tourism is attributed to the Dashain holidays, which typically draw large crowds to the region.
Annapurna Base Camp at the base of Annapurna-I has seen a record number of tourists since Dashain. The trekking route to ABC commences in Pokhara, Nepal's tourism capital, and traverses stunning landscapes, including lush forests, waterfalls, and the picturesque Panchakunda Lake.
This year, the Annapurna Rural Municipality's implementation of a tourism promotion master plan has contributed to the region's increased popularity. Annually, over 50,000 visitors embark on the journey to Annapurna Base Camp.
