Jammu- Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda visited the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Vijaypur, Jammu and Kashmir today. During the visit, the Minister observed various facilities of the institute and also met with the faculty, residents, staff, and students of AIIMS Jammu.

Minister Nadda said that the country is witnessing a surge in health sector, and AIIMS is a beacon of hope not only for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, but also for the people of Leh and other neighboring states. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, not only health, but every sector has experienced tremendous growth.

The Minister also emphasized the importance of collaboration among various branches of medical sciences, saying that both allopathy and ayurveda have distinct significance and strengths, which can be combined to enhance healthcare outcomes. He encouraged the faculty to continue their research and pursue knowledge, and also assured the AIIMS full support and help in ensuring better healthcare access to millions of people.

He also visited the Digital Library of AIIMS which has a collection of e-books, e-journals, and other important documents. He also inspected the Outpatient Department of the institute.
