8 Uttar Pradesh Rly Stations Renamed

New Delhi- Eight railway stations in the Lucknow division of Northern Railways have been renamed by the Northern Railways. The names of the stations have been changed after an order was issued by the Northern Railways on Tuesday.

According to the information given by the Northern Railways, the names of the stations that have been renamed are Kasimpur Halt, Jais, Misrauli, Bani, Nihalgarh, Akbarganj, Wazirganj Halt, and Fursatganj. The new names of the stations are Kasimpur Halt to Jais City, Jais to Guru Gorakhnath Dham, Misrauli to Maa Kalikan Dham, Bani to Swami Paramhans, Nihalgarh to Mahal Bijli Pasi, Akbarganj to Maa Ahorva Bhawani Dham, Wazirganj Halt to Amar Shaheed Bhale Sultan, and Fursatganj to Tapeshwarnath Dham.

The numerical codes of the railway stations will remain unchanged after the name change, as per the order issued by the Northern Railways. The Northern Railways said that any correction regarding the change in names and alphabetical code will be issued by the Secretary-General/IRCA New Delhi.

After the name change of the railway stations, the Uttar Pradesh MP Akhilesh Yadav has requested the BJP government to also address the conditions of the railway stations. Along with this, Yadav has urged the government not only to change the names but also to improve the conditions of the railway stations.
