Couple Tied to Tree, Tortured for 7 Hours in Rajasthan Village: Police Spring to Action After Pics Goes Viral

Married for seven years, the woman left behind her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter and one-year-old son. The couple was brought back to the village, where the lover was restrained with ropes and the woman was tied to a tree. In a display of barbarity, the husband and his relatives subjected them to merciless beatings in full view of the community.

Banswara- In a shocking incident reported from Banswara, a mother of two fled with her unmarried lover, triggering a violent backlash upon their return.

The woman's husband managed to track them down within five days and brought them back to the village.

What ensued was a horrific scene of violence, as both individuals were tied to a tree and subjected to relentless beatings for nearly seven hours, while the entire village looked on. Disturbing images of the assault were circulated on social media, drawing widespread condemnation.

The incident, which unfolded in a village under the jurisdiction of the Motagaon police station, occurred on Wednesday evening around 5:30 p.m. According to Gangaram, the in-charge of the police station, the 26-year-old woman had eloped with her 21-year-old lover on May 18. Surprisingly, no missing complaint was lodged by the woman's husband or her in-laws.

Married for seven years, the woman left behind her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter and one-year-old son to pursue her love affair, which had been ongoing for approximately two and a half years. Both individuals belong to the same community and were known to interact during family and social gatherings.

Upon learning of their return from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the husband, accompanied by relatives, intercepted them around 4 p.m. on Wednesday. They were then brought back to the village, where the lover was restrained with ropes and the woman was tied to a tree. In a display of barbarity, the husband and his relatives subjected them to merciless beatings in full view of the community.

The woman's husband and her lover work as laborers, often traveling to Banswara and Gujarat for employment opportunities. The lover, has been identified as a resident of Lohariya and is unmarried.

Late in the evening, the police lodged a case against eight individuals, including the husband, based on the complaint filed by the woman. Police is said to have detained the husband and an investigation is ongoing.
