Hyderabad– Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy commended the role of the Yadav community in Hyderabad’s development during the annual Sadar Festival, a traditional buffalo festival celebrated as part of Diwali festivities by the Yadav community. The event was held on Sunday at NTR Stadium.

Speaking at the event, Revanth Reddy emphasized the Yadav community’s significant contribution to Hyderabad’s progress. He expressed pride that the iconic Sadar Festival is being celebrated in Hyderabad, and he announced that the state government has officially designated it as an annual event. He also urged that similar celebrations be held in villages across the state.

The Chief Minister acknowledged the Congress Party’s steps toward empowering the Yadav community politically in Telangana, exemplified by nominating Anil Kumar Yadav to the Rajya Sabha. He assured that the Congress Party is committed to providing further political opportunities to the Yadav community. He noted that had Anjan Kumar Yadav won from the Musheerabad Assembly constituency, he would have secured a ministerial position in the state cabinet. Although Anjan Kumar lost, the Congress Party appointed him as an MP, reflecting the value placed on the Yadav community.

He highlighted the Yadav community’s traditional role in livestock farming around Hyderabad and recalled that they once grew fodder for cattle along the banks of the Musi River. Calling for the river's revival, which has become heavily polluted, the Chief Minister pledged to improve living conditions for communities residing near its banks.

Revanth Reddy appealed to the Yadav community to support the government in advancing Hyderabad’s growth. He also invoked the example of Lord Krishna, who championed righteousness, stating that good ultimately triumphs over evil.

The event was attended by Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, MP Anil Kumar Yadav, and singer Sipligunj, among others.
