New Delhi: The Mooknayak, a leading news website representing the voices of marginalized communities, has received technical assistance as a part of Google News Initiative (GNI) Indian Languages Program by Readwhere team. This support has enabled the website to establish itself among prominent media platforms.

After This support, Many of our articles now appear at the top of search results, leading to an increase in organic traffic. The publication’s Google Discover traffic has also improved significantly, showing a fourteen fold increase.

Moreover, monthly page views have seen a 170% increase since the start of the program. This surge in traffic indicates the growing relevance and reach of The Mooknayak.

Following the online training provided under the GNI program, the team at portal has implemented GA4, enabling them to better understand the nature of the most-read news stories and make improvements accordingly. Sending newsletters to targeted cities and creating articles on their issues has become easier.

Post the GNI program, The Mooknayak has several new ideas in mind. The team is consistently working on new stories and content. Additionally, they are considering new revenue sources to sustain media operations.
