Ex-Delhi Minister threatened by "self-declared" seers. A reward of 50 lakh on the head was announced.
New Delhi— Rajendra Pal Gautam, who recently resigned as the Cabinet Minister of NCT of Delhi has been threatened with beheading. Some self-declared saints have said that whoever beheads the ex-minister would be rewarded with Rs 50 lakh.
Self-declared seer of Ayodhya Swami Paramhans has said in a statement that "Rajendra Pal Gautam of Aam Admi Party and a close aide of Kejriwal is against Hindu Sanatan Religion. He demanded that the Union Government should take strict action against him and punish him and if no action is taken within the next seven day she will reward 50 lakh to anyone who brings the Chopped-off head of the Ex-minister.
Speaking on the issue, Ex-minister Rajendra pal Gautam told The Mooknayak that he has seen the video. He said that he[ Swami Paramhans] is a "Self-declared" saint. "It is a matter of investigation as to where did he get the amount of Rs 50 Lakh, which he is offering as a bounty. These people are blatantly threatening the people of Bahujan Samaj and the Ambedkarwadis"
He also said that it should be investigated to which "terrorist organization" are they linked and also the source of so much [50 lakh] money.
Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has said that there should be immediate action on such statements.
Speaking to The Mooknayak the Former IPS officer said that it is within the right of every person to demand lawful action against the person,[who] they think has hurt their sentiments. But publicly announcing a bounty for beheading someone can lead to violence. Thakur said that the Government should act against this hate speech.
Madhuban Kumar Singh, SP City was found evading the questions on the incendiary statement of the seer. On being contacted by The Mooknayak he said that "I have no information regarding this. It is only through you that I have got to know about this, A report from LIU will be demanded, what has Swami Paramhans said, where he is, all the details will be ascertained." On being asked about the lawful action (against the seer) he was seen deflecting the question.
Resigned from the Cabinet
At A Buddhist Dhamma Diksha ceremony on the day of Vijay Dashmi, Rajendra Pal Gautam had said that on 14th October 1956 Babasaheb [Ambedkar] had converted to Buddhism after taking 22 pledges against untouchability and that he had only repeated those 22 pledges. Following this, he was targeted by the so-called Hindu organizations. BJP had also raised this issue and subsequently, Rajendra Pal Gautam had tendered his resignation, but the issue does not seem to be abating.
