New Delhi- As of September 30, 2024, a total of 13,822 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been established across India under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP).

In September 2024 alone, these Kendras recorded ₹200 crores in sales, a 42% increase from the ₹141 crore sales in September 2023, marking the highest monthly sales since the initiative's inception. This growth demonstrates the program's success in offering affordable medicines to around 10 lakh people daily.

In the last decade, the sale of medicines through these Kendras has amounted to ₹6,100 crores, leading to an estimated ₹30,000 crore in savings for citizens compared to branded medicines.

Jan Aushadhi products are priced at least 50% lower, with some medicines and devices being up to 90% cheaper. The program aims to expand further, targeting 25,000 Kendras across the country.
