Jaipur– BJP MLA Baba Balak Nath, representing Rajasthan's Tijara Assembly constituency, expressed his support for the recent renaming of Hotel Khadim in Ajmer to 'Ajaymeru'. The decision, made by the Rajasthan government's Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC), was lauded by Nath who believes the new name better reflects the state's history and culture.

Speaking to media on Wednesday, Nath stated that the term 'Khadim' lacks any connection to Rajasthan's heritage. He emphasized the importance of historical figures and their impact on future generations, stating that names like 'Ajaymeru' serve as reminders of those who fought for the state's unity.

Nath also drew attention to the condition of Prithviraj Chauhan's fort in Ajmer, highlighting the Mughal influence still present over 250 years after their departure from India. He urged the government to take steps to restore the fort to its historical significance, emphasizing the importance of preserving its legacy for future generations. Nath recalled visiting the city a year and a half ago and learning that Ajmer is home to the only fort of Prithviraj Chauhan.

The BJP MLA further commented on the controversial Godhra incident, criticizing the Congress government for politicizing the tragedy. He praised the film "The Sabarmati Report" for its portrayal of the incident, believing it offers an opportunity for the younger generation to learn the truth. He explained that during the incident, Ram Mandir activists were burned alive. He acknowledged previous investigations but welcomed a younger generation learning the real story through the film.

Addressing concerns regarding illegal activities in the Mewat region, Nath specifically pointed to illegal mosques as breeding grounds for unlawful activities such as religious conversions, "love jihad," and online fraud. He stressed the need for government intervention to address these issues, calling for action against illegal constructions and encroachments, particularly on village and forest department land. He emphasized that while respecting all religions, any conspiracy that endangers humanity or the nation must be investigated. Nath said his team compiled a list of illegal encroachments and urged the government to remove them.
