New Delhi- The Department of Justice (DoJ) has launched the Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman campaign on Tuesday to promote legal awareness among citizens about their rights under the Constitution.

This campaign is part of the year-long initiatives under the DOJ's 'Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman' programme which was launched by Vice President on January 24, 2024. The second regional event was held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, with the participation of around 800 people, including dignitaries, law officers, advocates, and field-level functionaries of various government departments.

The event was used to launch the 'Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman' portal, which will provide citizens with easy access to information about the Constitution and their legal rights. It will also include a calendar of events and tools to make learning about constitutional rights interactive and participative. The portal has also provided a link to the 'Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman' campaign on social media.

Union Minister of State (I/C) for Law & Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, who delivered a keynote address at the event, emphasised the importance of the Constitution in protecting the rights of its citizens and the need to promote legal awareness among all sections of the society. He highlighted that the ongoing initiatives by the DOJ are aimed at strengthening the legal system and promoting fair and equitable justice.

The 'Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman' campaign is a significant step forward in the DOJ's efforts to create a more inclusive and democratic society. It is hoped that the campaign will empower citizens and strengthen their commitment towards the protection and preservation of their rights.
