New Delhi- In the wake of BJP's landmark victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, party leaders have initiated the transition process with a series of high-level meetings and courtesy calls to key officials.

Bijwasan constituency winner Kailash Gahlot visited the Lieutenant Governor's residence, describing it as "only a courtesy meeting." New Delhi constituency victor Parvesh Verma also made a similar visit to the L-G's residence.

A crucial meeting was convened at Union Home Minister Amit Shah's residence, attended by BJP President J.P. Nadda, where discussions centered on Delhi's future governance. Meanwhile, BJP MP Anurag Thakur traveled to Lucknow for party discussions related to the Delhi elections.

The identity of Delhi's next Chief Minister remains one of the most anticipated announcements, with the BJP yet to officially name its choice for the position. This decision has garnered significant public interest as the city prepares for a new administration.

The election results mark a significant shift in Delhi's political landscape, ending the Aam Aadmi Party's ten-year rule. While outgoing Chief Minister Atishi retained her Kalkaji seat with a margin of 3,521 votes against BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri, she has submitted her resignation to the L-G at the Delhi Secretariat.

The AAP faced substantial losses, with several prominent leaders losing their seats, including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Saurabh Bhardwaj.

This victory represents a major turnaround for the BJP, which had previously faced defeats in the 2015 and 2020 Delhi Assembly elections. The party now stands poised to implement its vision for the national capital's development.
