Patna- The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) recently organized the fourth PM GatiShakti Eastern Zone District Level Capacity Building workshop in Patna. This workshop saw the participation of over 100 officials from various central ministries, state governments, and district administrations representing 44 districts across Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

The event was inaugurated by Nitish Mishra, Minister of Industries & Tourism, Government of Bihar, who emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve the Viksit Bharat vision by 2047. He urged officials to utilize the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan for project planning and data-driven decision-making to attract investments.

Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Shri E. Srinivas, highlighted the significance of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan in national growth, aligning with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. He shared that since its launch in 2021, the Network Planning Group (NPG) has evaluated 213 projects, with 17 projects either located in or passing through Bihar.

The workshop showcased best practices and use cases of PM GatiShakti by BISAG-N and various infrastructure and social sector ministries. The participants were also trained on the benefits of PM GatiShakti, including identifying area development use cases connected to all-weather roads, power, internet, and drinking water facilities.

The event served as a platform for stakeholders to deliberate and learn from each other's experiences. The DPIIT plans to create individual district-level portals, provide login credentials to District Nodal Officers, and enrich the NMP/SMP with district-level data layers to further enhance the impact of PM GatiShakti at the district level.
