Kishanganj, Bihar: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) announced its support for Jan Suraaj Party President Prashant Kishor and the protesting students demanding a cancellation of the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Preliminary examination.

AIMIM State Party President, Akhtarul Iman, condemned the police action against Kishor and his supporters during their hunger strike in Patna's Gandhi Maidan. "We want the 70th BPSC examination to be cancelled. Everyone has the right to protest democratically. If the police stop them (protesting BPSC candidates) from fasting, it is not right," Iman stated.

Iman expressed outrage at allegations of police misconduct, including the alleged slapping of Kishor during his arrest. He called for accountability and immediate action against those responsible, stating, "If the slapping incident is true, as seen in the picture, then this slap is not given to Prashant Kishor but to democracy."

The AIMIM leader further criticized the Bihar government for what he perceived as authoritarian measures to stifle dissent. He highlighted allegations against BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai, emphasizing the need for transparency. "Is this government washed with Ganga water? Many allegations have been levelled against the BPSC Chairman himself, and the government is adopting a repressive policy," Iman said.

The AIMIM has joined other political parties and leaders in demanding a re-conduct of the 70th BPSC Preliminary examination, citing alleged irregularities. "We stand with the demands of BPSC candidates. Irregularities took place in the exam, and we want justice for the students," Iman added. Bihar's political discourse increasingly centers on this issue, championed by multiple parties and leaders, including Prashant Kishor.
