Chandigarh- In Chandigarh, Punjab, a delegation of AAP leaders led by Aman Arora visited the Khanauri border on Wednesday to meet with hunger-striking farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal. The AAP delegation expressed concern over Dallewal's deteriorating health, urging him to accept medical treatment.

Dallewal, who has been protesting against the central government's farm laws, has been on a hunger strike for an extended period. The AAP leaders, including Health Minister Balbir Singh, Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, and party state working President Amansher Singh Sharry Kalsi, emphasized that his health is "deteriorating with his kidneys and liver showing signs of strain."

Arora stated that the Punjab government and the AAP fully support Dallewal's fight for farmers' rights, emphasizing the legitimacy of his cause. However, he stressed the urgency of Dallewal seeking medical attention to continue his protest. He assured Punjab's farmers that they would not fight alone.

The AAP delegation criticized the central government for failing to fulfill promises made to farmers, blaming their "negligence and broken promises" for the dire situation. Arora called upon the Centre to address the farmers' demands immediately, warning that the Punjab government is prepared to stand with the farmers until justice is served.

Health Minister Balbir Singh highlighted the medical necessity of intervening in Dallewal's health situation, stating that his physical condition is declining. He urged Dallewal to consent to medical treatment to ensure his well-being while continuing his advocacy for farmers' rights.
