Modi Govt Pledges Support to Tripura Amid Floods

Union Home Minister Amit Shah assures assistance, deploys NDRF teams, boats, and helicopters

New Delhi- In a statement issued by the Union Home Minister's office, it has been assured that the Modi government will stand with the people of Tripura in the difficult flood situation.

The statement reads, "Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah speaks with Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha and takes stock of the flood situation in the state.

In a post on X platform, Amit Shah said that "Spoke with CM Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha and took stock of the flood situation in the state. The Centre is rushing teams of NDRF, apart from boats and helicopters, to the state to assist the local government in relief and rescue operations. Assured of all possible assistance from the Centre as and when required. The Modi government firmly stands with our sisters and brothers in Tripura during this hour of crisis."

It is to be noted that the NDRF team will be sent by the central government to assist in the relief and rescue operations of Tripura government. In addition to this, the boats and helicopters of the NDRF will also be sent to assist in the flood control of Tripura.
