DU Admissions: 93% Seats Filled in First Round

Over 65,000 Candidates Confirmed Admission to UG Courses

New Delhi- The first admission round of Delhi University (DU) has begun and 92.98% of the seats have been filled by the candidates. According to the information, 65,800 candidates have confirmed their admission to the undergraduate (UG) courses at the DU.

The university began the allocation process on Friday. 97,387 seats were available in the first round of admission. In order to fill the gap, the university administration made extra allocations. The first round of admissions will begin on August 29.

According to DU Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi, "A total of 65,483 candidates have confirmed their seats by submitting fees."

The university has also introduced a feature on the candidates' dashboard that allows them to check their seat allocation based on category and quota.

DU is conducting admissions for 71,600 seats (excluding supernumerary seats) across 69 colleges and departments. There are 1,559 program-college combinations available for admission.
