News Impact: Construction work of new college building started

The College was being run from two rented rooms. The construction was hanging fire due to the apathy of the administration. The issue was raised by The Mooknayak

Jaipur—  The  Sub-division of Malarna Dungur in Sawai Madhopur district of  Rajasthan will soon get its own State College. Local MLA of Sawai Madhopur Danish Abrar laid the foundation for the construction of the building. The Mooknayak had carried the news on 7th November 2022. After the publication of the news the Higher Education Department and College administration swung into action and laid the foundation of the building to be built at a budget of Rs 4.5 Crore.

The Students were forced to study in a room for three years

The students studying at Malarna Dungur State College were forced to study in a single room for the past three years. The studies got hampered as the number of students increased in the first, second and third years. Despite the land being allocated and the amount being approved the work had not started. Many students also submitted a memorandum after protesting, but to no avail. The grievances of the students were published in detail by The Mooknayak. It is the impact of The Mooknayak that the construction of the college building started.

MLA had this to say

The MLA Danish Abrar laid the foundation by inaugurating the opening stone on the land approved for the College building. On the occasion, he said that we have developed Education, Health, Electricity, water and roads on priorities. There was nothing in the name of development 4 years ago. Now we have a government college. Earlier people used to send their children outside for studying. Now people from other localities come here to study. The college building was missing, now that will be addressed. The MLA told the construction agencies from the podium that from the coming educational session, the classes will be conducted from the new building. Although, the date decided for completing the construction is 13th September 2023.

On the occasion, the Principal of the College said that three years back the State College was approved and since then the students had been studying in a single room. In this session the class of third year will pass out from this college. The construction of the building will see increase in the number of students. He said that at present whole staff, apart from that of the Nodal Principal is on Sambal Yojana. He drew the attention of the local MLA that being in the government he should enable the appointment of permanent teachers. The Pradhan Devpala Meena also addressed the programme.
