The founder of the Rashtriya Dalit Sena, Hamara Prasad, has caused a furor with his recent remarks about Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The inflammatory statement, which was recorded in a video that has since gone viral, has sparked outrage across the country and led to Prasad's immediate arrest.

In the video, Prasad can be seen brandishing a book by Dr. Ambedkar and making a series of derogatory comments about the Dalit leader and philosopher. He proclaimed that if Dr. Ambedkar were alive today, he would have been shot by Prasad himself. The video also accuses Dr. Ambedkar of offending the Hindu community with his writings.

The release of the video has inflamed tensions in Telangana and beyond, with political leaders and members of the Dalit community demanding swift action against Prasad. The Bahujan Samaj Party's Telangana unit chief, RS Praveen Kumar, was among those who called for a strong response to Prasad's remarks.

Prasad arrested, being interrogated

In response to the mounting pressure, the Hyderabad Police took swift action, registering a case against Prasad under sections 153A and 505(2) of the Indian Penal Code. He was promptly arrested and is currently being interrogated by police officials.

The controversy has reignited discussions about the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar and the ongoing struggle for Dalit rights in India. Dr. Ambedkar, who was a prominent leader in the country's independence movement, is widely regarded as the father of the Indian Constitution and a champion of the Dalit community.

Prasad's remarks have been widely condemned by political leaders, social activists, and members of the Dalit community, who view them as a threat to the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar and a direct attack on the Dalit community. The video has also sparked a larger conversation about hate speech and the need to safeguard the rights of marginalized communities.
